Happy 6 Month Old!

I cannot believe it! Today Owen is 6 months old. Time has gone by so fast. He is getting so big! We went to Fotofly to get his 6 month pics done and I am in love with these pics!

My baby boy  LOVES to laugh and it seems like it is getting easier to make him laugh. It is so much fun playing with him.

Owen loves to play, he is starting to grab things and he loves banging on things...he is a little drummer in this video!

5 months old- Discovering his feet and the outdoors

5 months old and discovering his feet, he is so tall that we are now buying 9-12 month clothes for Owen.

We have had a fun few weeks, Owen has been to the zoo and in the mountains for the first time. We love this time of year and have been taking advantage of very beautiful weather!! Owen loves to be outside too so it has been fun for all of us!

First taste of baby food!

Yesterday morning we took Owen to the doctor for his 4 month appointment. We were surprised to learn that Owen can start eating baby food. The doctor said to start with vegetables, so on our way home we bought some peas and carrots. Later that afternoon we steamed some carrots and blended them in our Baby Bullet. At first Owen did not know what to think but after a few spoon fulls he seemed to like them alright.
I, of course got a video of his first bite of baby food, he is so funny....

 I cannot believe he is already starting solid food! Time goes by so quickly and he is growing so fast- literally: Owen is 16.7 lbs and 16.9 inches long, which means he is in the 92nd percentile for length and 75th percentile for weight. No wonder his 6 month p.j.'s are getting tight!

Boys will be Boys

This last weekend we drove out to Antelope Island. Owen seemed to want to spit the whole way there and then he cried the whole way home. He loves to spit, it seems to be his way of communicating!

Enjoying the Park

Baby Owen loves to be outside. We will take him to the park and lay on a blanket and look at the tress and enjoy the fresh air. When Grandma Lori was here for Labor Day Weekend, we did just that. It was so relaxing and Owen loved it!

We also went to the Living Planet Aquarium and Owen loved the bright colors of the fishies.

Playing With Toys, or just yelling at them...

Owen is starting to roll over, my granny calls him rolly polly, in this video he is rolling to see his star toy light up but he also squeals at it, it is just too cute.

When Grandma Lori was here, she got Owen a toy ball that he loves because it it easy for him to grab. The only problem is he cannot fit it in his mouth and he seems to get annoyed with that, maybe he wants some milk to come out of it...LOL

Daddy Makes Owen Giggle

This video is hilarious, Owen giggles all the time but I rarely get the camera out in time to film it, well this time I got him but as soon as he sees me, he stops but it does not keep Ben from trying...

Daddy takes good care of Owen and loves him lots. These pictures are a huge reminder to me of how lucky I am to have such a great hubby. He works hard for our family and I love him so much!!

Growing So Fast!!

Once I went back to work it seemed like Owen started sprouting, one night I put him some 6 month p.j.'s, imagine my surprise to find that they fit Owen rather snug at 12 weeks old! He is growing too fast!

Discovering the Mobile

It seemed like it just happened one day, Owen really started to notice things around him like his mobile above his crib. He suddenly loved talking to his mobile. I would put him in his crib and he would watch the animals go around and have so much fun just watching them. This is probably one of my favorite videos of him. It does not get much cuter than this!! I love how excited he gets...

Grandma Lori

Owen loves his Grandma Lori. He loves to talk to her and here is proof!

We miss Grandma Lori so much and love when she comes to visit!! This was in July when Owen was 2 months old. When Grandma Lori holds Owen, it is hard to get him back. She just wants to hold him forever. 

Aunt Terrel and Lacey

When Owen was about 2 months old, Great Granny turned 70! Aunt Lacey came to visit for 10 whole days and she played with Owen and helped me take care of him. He loved her, one evening we went to our Aunt Terrel's and they talked to Owen and he smiled like crazy. I got an adorable video out of it, of course.

Grandmas

Owen has some amazing grandmas that take very good care of him while Ben and I are at work. Grandma Becky watches Owen Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. Great Granny Marge watches him on Tuesdays and Thursdays. He is very loved and spoiled. Below is a video of Great Granny trying to get Owen to smile, Owen was about 6 weeks old at the time.

Sweet sleep

Owen loves to get his sleep. He gets pretty fussy without it like any other baby. Ben and I got him a little bunny hammock to rock him in and he loves it! He sleeps very soundly in it and it keeps him elevated which helps a lot with his tummy.

First Smile

When Owen was about 5 weeks old, he smiled for the first time. It was seriously one of the happiest moments of my life. The day before it happened I went to the doctor and found out I had a bad sinus infection. I was not feeling well at all. The next morning Owen and I were playing in his room and he suddenly smiled when I kissed him with his little stuffed monkey. Ben was at work at the time so I tried to get it on video, this is what I got. I still find it funny...

Welcome Owen

After 5 years of marriage, 2 moves in and out of state and numerous plants and pets we finally welcomed the biggest joy into our world- Owen Liam Conner. He is one amazing boy. He is happy and has the most engaging and sweetest personality. He is our world and we are amazed at how much we love him.

Owen was born on May 4th 2012 at 8:24am weighing 6 lbs 12oz. He was just a little guy, but he loves to eat and has grown so much. Ben got a few seconds of video of him after he was born (kind of on accident):
